Liverpool Weekend

August 05, 2017  •  Leave a Comment

My Liverpool weekend started with the main reason I went up there, a Gary Numan Concert at the Exhibition Centre right next to the Hotel I was staying in, the Pullman.

The Exhibition Centre, the Hotel and the Echo Arena are all on the waterfront next to the Albert Docks, the above photo is taken though the window of my hotel room.

Liverpool has some great Architecture, old and new:-

The Liver Building is perhaps the most famous building in Liverpool. This photo really needs the mast of the ship removing but need to master photoshop first!

The Liverpool Museum

The Echo Arena with the Liverpool wheel beyond. As always got a few Street Shots from the weekend :-

These weird things are called 'Superlambananas' they are dotted around the city, they were installed when Liverpool was named European Capital of Culture, they celebrate all things Liverpool.

Liverpool Pride

Just by shear coincidence, Liverpool Pride took place on the Saturday, never one to miss a photo oppotunity I checked out the parade:-

The Pride march itself is not as big as London's or Brighton's, there are no floats. Everybody is very happy and you get a great vibe.

Liverpool is a great city and recommend it for a city break.
