This post is a bit late to be a review of the shows as I'm sure there are plenty out there already. I will just tell you what I got up to with a few Portrait shots along the way.
My weekend can be split into three sections:-
The Photography Show
I usually go for the gear but as I'm all Pentaxed Up I don't need any, so this time I went for the speakers and a workshop.
The first speakers I saw were Imogen and Mark from 'Weekly Imogen' a You Tube channel which provides entertaining and educational photography tutorials, drawing on their joint experience as both model and photographer, their words not mine. They were on the Social Media Stage and talked about You Tube / instagram (@unexpected.tales) and flickr (unexpectedtales).
The next stage I went to was the Canon Live Stage and Lara Jade was giving a speech about her career. I was amazed how dedicated she was at the early stages of her career and really did show that you need more than natural talent to succeed.
There are always models on the stands, especially the Studio Lighting stands, this is a more candid moment and usual the only time I photography models. That said I did do a workshop at the show.....
The PHOTOSHOOT Magazine Workshop
This was a £25 workshop organised by 'The Photography Show' and 'PhotoShoot Magazine' sponsored by 'PixaPro' and featured Model Chiara Elisabetta. There was a group of six and we all had about 10 minutes with the model. Now this was the first time in a studio and getting the photo is one thing but then you have to 'Photoshop it' as well (which I'm not very good at) anyway here is my favourite five.
Sorry about the logo position on some of the photos.....just experimenting!
As usual everyone was in a very good mood, very friendly and always willing to have their photo taken, here's a selection:
So all in all a great weekend and recommend it to any photographer......maybe next year?
